Shaving before the mirror,
With the stroke of the razor,
I discovered that the mirror
From age, had developed spots;
Which I tried to remove-
Scratched them hard with my index
Until, tired, I let go.
Tried a different reflector,
The patches were still there-
And I instantly knew
Where they actually belonged.
